Automated Go/No-Go Form

Automated Go/No-Go Form

This Excel Go/No-Go questionnaire was developed to guide professional staff through an objective decision making process prior to pursuing design projects. The questionnaire applies various weights to responses, thus emphasizing the critical impact of some questions in making a sound Go/No-Go decision. Users select answers from text dropdown menus, which subsequently convert to numeric scoring.

Pressing a Feedback button, when completed, opens a new worksheet that that displays tips and best practices for responses that fell below an acceptable threshold, and why these would negatively impact the pursuit strategy. This minimized subjectivity in the decision making and helped develop discipline in reviewers during this important phase of project procurement.
