I am a marketing and communications specialist, project manager, technical and creative writer, strategist, software consultant, former horn man with national music acts, kayaker, nature lover, and scratch cook.
I bring a creative approach to driving business development, through strategic marketing, compelling communications and innovative approaches to problem solving. I communicate in many styles – always mindful of my audience – and craft my voice and messaging to match the requirements of a project. Regardless of assignment, creative or technical, I create imagery that conveys ideas in a fluid and conversational way.
Having earned a Masters degree in music performance, I synthesize business concepts in abstract form, infuse them with creativity and rearticulate them as enriched new ideas.
Science tells us that the musician brain is profoundly affected in terms of social skills, communication and teamwork. We possess enhanced visuospatial ability and improved executive functions such as problem solving, goal-directed behavior and maintenance of information in working memory.
So that’s why business documents I write have musical traits like form, phrasing and dynamics, and lean toward the persuasive blandishment of a well-crafted composition.
